SOME PRINCIPLES OF LEFT WING RADICALS IN AMERICA
(Includes many so-called liberals and “greens”)
I. Anti-Americanism: The elitist left no longer shares our historic American values. They think that America should “outgrow” its infantile and adolescent past. They wish, for example, to remove America’s Judeo-Christian identity. Liberty, freedom and human rights take a back seat to anti-religious, socialistic, and nouveau European secularist values. Some have called “anti-Americanism” the new religion or opiate of the left. America is regarded as inferior to European society and values. There are no historic American values worth preserving or worth fighting for. These include our religious freedom and free market capitalism. The idea that America is the “last best hope for humanity” is regarded as farcical. America was as much to blame for the Cold War as was the Soviet Union, as Israel is as guilty for the Middle East conflict as are the Palestinians or Islamic militants. Criticism of Christianity especially is absolutely imperative. Criticism, however, of Islam or the United Nations or liberal professors or activist judges or liberal ideals is being intolerant or bigoted. America is considered immoral--the world center for racism, sexism, imperialism, homophobia, and right wing Christianity. President Bush is hated because he is too American and represents these “anti-values.” To “fashionable liberals”, especially in New York, anti-Americanism is an absolute moral imperative (Note New Republic, “The Case for Bush Hatred,” 9/29/03.)
II. Socialism: The left supports a cradle to grave welfare system, a religion free society, a liberally activist judiciary, a radical egalitarianism where equality is more important than liberty, and a redistribution of the wealth engineered by high, confiscatory taxes on the wealthy, which is another moral imperative. The profit motive--a basis for capitalistic business enterprises--is destructive. Ownership of private property should be minimized. As much land as possible should be federalized and strictly controlled.
III. Multiculturalism: All societies and cultures are equal. Western civilization including America is no better in its values and principles than any other culture. Morality is relative. Immigrants should keep their own culture and their own languages if they like. The American melting pot is oppressive. Leftists are against the “Americanization” of all citizens. Sensitivity to the feelings and desires of minorities trumps the majority, e.g., the celebration of Christmas should be changed to “the winter holiday” so as not to offend. Offending someone else’s feelings or sensibilities, except for those of right wing extremists, is one of the greatest of evils.
IV. Globalism: Leftists support world citizenship and nations without borders. American nationalism--patriotism--is dangerous. There should be no such thing as illegal immigration. We live in “one world.” We should follow the lead and governance of the United Nations. International treaties should form the basis for international law with an international court to whom all are subject. Environmental laws and social mores are to be dictated by the United Nations. Judicial decisions should be based not on a narrow American constitution but should draw from other legal systems all over the world and from international lawbased on United Nations treaties and pronouncements. (Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, for example, said that the recent decision in the Supreme Court which abolished the Texas sodomy law drew from the example of European laws and not from our laws or Constitution.) The American Constitution is not the “law of the land.” We should encourage a liberal activist judiciary to support the above agenda.
V. The Radical Liberalization of Social Mores: Some examples: (1) A woman has the right to choose unrestricted abortion but does not have the right to choose a silicone breast implant.
(2) Marriage and the family should be redefined. Same sex marriages should be allowed, and perhaps the institution of marriage should ultimately be “downsized” entirely. Polyamory or multiples in marriage is the ideal of many. All children need is love whether it comes from two parents, one parent, two fathers, or two mothers, or some other combination. The nuclear, two parent family is not necessarily the ideal. Divorce should be easy and no fault.
(3) Homosexuality should be taught in the schools as a legitimate alternative life style.
(4) Sexual freedom including pornography for all ages is one of the very most important values. Condoms, not abstinence, should be used to promote “safe sex.” To teach abstinence can be considered criminal abuse.
(5) The greatest danger to mankind is man’s abuse of the environment. Federal lands and resources should be under United Nations control.( See Gore’s Earth in the Balance)
VI. A few consequences of the above. (1) The Boy Scouts should be sanctioned for homophobia. (A judicial decision was made in the San Diego area that Scouts should be restricted from using a city park because they were a “religious organization.”)
(2) Parents should be restricted in the training and discipline of their children in favor of the school which should teach liberal morals and values. Parents should never be allowed to interfere with or necessarily even be told about a teen age daughter’s abortion.
(3) School choice should not be permitted and all children’s education should be regulated to reflect the value system of the “new world order.” The teaching of creationism as an alternative to evolution, e.g., should never be allowed. What this results in is indoctrination, not education, in public schools.
(4) Opposing racially based college dorms, graduation ceremonies, political caucuses or professional organizations is racist. In fact, any criticism of the actions of any minority groups is equated with racism.
(5) Violent crime is produced by poverty, racism and psychopathologies rather than “lack of self control and moral and religious values.” Criminals therefore are victims. The death penalty should be abolished, and the Second Amendment allowing ownership of guns should be repealed.
(6) War is never the answer to international problems. Labeling an enemy of the United States as “evil” is wrong, such as when President Reagan called the Soviet Union an “evil empire” or President Bush labeled Iraq, Iran and North Korea a “triumvirate of evil.” America is to blame for much of the evil in the world, in particular, international poverty. President Bush attacked Iraq for economic gain and to support Israel. One of America’s premier leftists Noam Chomsky has called America a “terrorist nation” and identified Bush with Hitler.
(7) Physical health is more important than morality The most important moral values are tolerance of everyone and everything, not pronouncing judgment, pursuing pleasure, and not maintaining deep and divisive religious or moral beliefs,
VII. Concluding opinion: Many of the above ideas and principles have grown out of Marxist/Leninist/ Communism which infected America’s elites from the 1920’s to the 1960’s. The American Communist Party during that time was under the direct control of Moscow. During part of this period there were at least 300 Soviet agents and sympathizers within our Federal government bureaucracy reporting to the Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union fell, the leftists unfortunately had nowhere to go except to embrace and take over the left wing of the Democratic Party politically and to join the faculties of our major universities educationally. The latter has been documented in a recent book on the invincible ignorance of left wing educators who still whitewash the Soviet Union and support the ideals of communism. It is called In Denial: Historians, Educators and Espionage by John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr (San Francisco, Encounter Boooks, 2003)
Lenin had taught that the Communist movement really originated with the French Revolution, which had obliterated the aristocratic class. The bourgeoisie or the middle class had arisen to take its place and because of capitalism had become as much the oppressors as the aristocrats. They in turn had to be eliminated in favor of the proletariat or the working class, which would ultimately lead to a classless society. This was the ultimate goal of the ideal of socialism.
A new morality was invented by Lenin which would help in this transformation which included the fostering of directed hatreds, executions or genocide, and strategic, intentional lying. Adolf Hitler borrowed these ideas from the Communists and became known erroneously as the author of the technique of the “Big Lie.” As Goebbels said, “If you tell a lie big enough and long enough eventually people will believe it.” Both the cultivation of hatreds and lying as policy, therefore, have been adopted consciously or unconsciously by left wing movements all over the world. In the midst of promoting tolerance and truth in America, the left is really engaged in cultivating hatreds--class warfare--and in employing half-truths and lies as tools to achieve leftist goals. One can see it this in action almost every day in the pronouncements of liberal activists, educators, and politicians. They always play “fast and loose” with the truth. After all the contemporary leftist academic world denies that “truth” even exists.
