THE BIG LIE: A TOOL OF THE LEFTISTS IN LIGHT OF THE PROPHET JEREMIAHS JUDGMENT ON ANCIENT ISRAEL by James M. Murk This is a 20 page paper that we want to send to all the congressmen and senators in Washington DC. If you can help us with this financially, I will send you a free copy. This paper catalogs the lies and fraud that are rampant in American society today, many of them promoted by politicians and many spread by the secular humanists, the culture elite, or those whom Thomas Sowell calls the self-appointed Anointed. The quest for truth in our nation has been sacrificed to the quest for power and control. Even the universities have become the most intolerant institutions in America and have sacrificed the quest for truth in favor of a humanist philosophy and a political and social agenda. In reading the Scriptures I discovered that a society, which was saturated in lies and fraud, was specifically under the judgment of God. No society can exist intact for long without truth and honesty. Just before Gods judgment the nation of Judah was filled with lies and deceit and refused even to acknowledge God, their Creator, teacher and benefactor. The parallel with America today is remarkable. Does it portend our own imminent judgment? From among the many lying statements and fraudulent premises extant in our society today, I have chosen only 20 prominent and important ones to highlight. I have stated the lie, explained it, and then to the best of my knowledge and ability have told the truth about the subject in question. Many of these lies have become the basis for political and judicial decisions and have shaped our thinking and our practice in America especially for the last 30 to 50 years. As this paper developed through numerous revisions, my attention was called to recent social/historical studies which suggest that the only nations which have succeeded substantially, especially in global business, but also as stable societies, have been those which have a history of trust, indicating that they valued truth and honesty. If people come to distrust each other, they cannot build and sustain a coherent, cooperating society. It is noteworthy that all but one of these nations have their roots in the Protestant Reformation with its emphasis on Biblical morality. Although they too are being overrun with the lies of humanism and atheism, they still retain enough of a tradition of trust to continue to function as the more successful societies in the world. Thank God, this still includes the United States of America, but we have lost our distinction as an honest, truth-telling nation, and we are moving inexorably toward extinction as a viable, stable culture. |
